    • ALL SUBMISSION FEES ARE PER FILM IN $US AND ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

    All deadlines are based on the submission's postmark date.

    *Filmmakers eligible for the STUDENT RATE must provide supporting documentation stating student's name, institution name and current date/term such as a valid student I.D., report card, or tuition bill.

    To submit:
    -- complete & sign the application form: Film / Screenplay.
    -- filmmakers: include a DVD** copy of your film (NTSC format, Region 1 or 0) or a URL/link to an online screener.
    -- screenwriters: include a printed hard copy** of your screenplay or email your script as a .pdf, .doc, .docx, .txt, .rft
    -- pay online with Paypal or include a check or money order payable to BROWNFISH.COM for appropriate application fee.
    -- filmmakers eligible for the Student rate must include supporting documentation.

    ** DVDs and Hard Copy submissions will not be returned.

    Filmmakers and Screenwriters will be notified by email approximately September 7, 2012. Accepted Filmmakers must provide a Digital Exhibition Screener of their film as a .MOV file (minimum resolution, size, audio- T.B.A.) with any and all costs to be the obligation of the filmmaker. DVD submissions maybe used as Exhibition Screeners if they meet screening requirements at the festival's disgression. Official Selection films will be screened in a festival program to be determined by the Brownfish Short Film Festival NYC. Official Selection screenplays will receive a staged reading in a festival program to be determined by the Brownfish Short Film Festival NYC.The Brownfish Short Film Festival NYC is a judged contest with cash and prize awards.
